The sole is made of HPR Plus, a longer lasting, abrasion-resistant compound while the upper is made of air mesh for heat control (it also helps the shoe to dry).  The midsole contains Brooks patented Progressive Diagonal Rollbar (PDRB) that works with the shoe to allow progressive pronation control while creating a smoother transition from midstance into propulsion phase.
